by a Rev. Busse. Witnesses Fred SASS and Minnie SASS. A possibly related
branch includes the Christian SASS family: Christian Sass, b. 8 April 1811,
Mechlenburg, Germany, d. 26 Oct. 1902; wife Louise (?) b. 21 Aug. 1818 (?),
Mechlenburg, Germany, d. 5 Feb. 1902. Ch: Maria b. 1 Sept. 1842, Germany,
d. 30 Oct. 1910 (immigrated 1872); Fritz b. 1855, d. 1931. All of them are
buried in Oak Glen Cemetary, Lansing, IL. Maria m. Frederick VIERK. I have
additional information on Frederica's siblings; want to correspond with anyone

BUCHMEIER:
I am a genealogist in Iowa and have come across a portrait of a young
girl by the name of August Buchmeier (?). I believe that to be the spelling.
I purchased the photograph in an antique store and would like to offer it
to anyone of this family. If you can find anyone interested in it the cost

LEMONT NEWSPAPERS/OBITS:
What newspapers were in Lemont from the 1850s? What other paper might
have obits from that period? Gg grandfather lived in
Lemont or Lemont area ca at least 1853 to at least 1855. First wife d. there
in Feb 1855, bur. at the Sag. I have contacted the cemetery that holds the
records for the cemetery where
she is buried. I have contacted a lady about the IL Michigan canal who also
has info on the cemetery. I have contaced IRAD and a church regarding marriage
records. Still trying to find out where my gg grandfather worked. Newspapers
may be able to provide that info as well as an obit for the first wife.

OLSON, HOLMAN: Grandmother,
immigrated 1895 at age 12, from Sweden to live with elder sister in Pullman
area. Great-aunt was Hilda Henrietta Olsson upon immigration, supposed to
have been an opera singer on the southside. She was married twice, but divorced
and remarried to a John Holman.

Mary SUTTER b. 1807
Switzerland;, migrated here with her husband (died right after they arrived
in Will County 1852) and her six children. She was partially deaf and dumb.
She was to have died at county poor farm in Illinois ca 1871-72. Swiss records
state she died at Ridton, Illinois. I surmise it is Richton? Also seek info
on Anna Sutter Warnecke died in the Chicago area in 1930's. Is this the same
person as Anna SUTTER WARNECKE (born 1840 Switzerland) mentioned in death
record for St. Paul's Church in Richton?
