Cemetery Master Index by Township

Do a search in our updated Master Index to South Suburban Genealogical & Historical Society Cemetery Census Series. There are 99 cemeteries included in the updated indices. Most are readings of the existing tombstones; others are compiled from records and/or research.
The index files are organized by township. There are many other cemeteries in the townships located outside of Chicago. However, only the cemeteries that have been read by volunteers and published by the South Suburban Genealogical & Historical Society have been included in the index.
NOTE: All of the cemeteries are located outside of the Chicago city limits.
The Cemetery Master Index is a finding aid linking a name with a cemetery.  If you find the name you are seeking, make a note of the cemetery.  Additional information will be found in the cemetery reading.  The published cemetery readings are located in the South Suburban Genealogical & Historical Society Library.  You may conduct your own research at the Library or you may request a volunteer do the research for you.  For further information on how to obtain research help, click here
